Dr Michelle Caldecott

Associate Professor Michelle Caldecott graduated from University of Adelaide in 1993 and then went on to receive her fellowship in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine in 2001. Michelle has over 15 years’ experience in treating respiratory disorders in both public and private sectors. She currently holds senior staff specialist positions at Austin Health (Heidelberg) and with the Victorian Respiratory Support Service (VRSS). 

Michelle offers comprehensive assessment of a wide range of respiratory and sleep disorders. She utilises sleep laboratories across Epworth sites and also performs flexible bronchoscopy at Epworth Richmond.

Dr Piers Canty

Dr Piers Canty

Adult Respiratory and Sleep Physician

Dr Piers Canty graduated from University of Melbourne in 1999 and completed his Respiratory and Sleep qualifications in 2006 following advanced training at both Monash Medical Centre and Austin Hospital.

He holds a public appointment at St Vincent's Hospital (Fitzroy) and is the former Director of Respiratory Medicine at the Northern Hospital (Epping) .

Dr. Rubinfeld has had extensive experience in General Respiratory Medicine, and in Asthma, COPD, Pulmonary Fibrosis, Bronchiectasis, Pneumonia and Occupational Lung Diseases.

He is associated with Melbourne University and Royal Melbourne Hospital. He provides specialist medico-legal opinions  to Medical Panels, TAC and various law firms.

Dr. Angus Husband is an adult respiratory and sleep physician who consults at Epworth Richmond and in Doncaster East. He graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2004, and undertook training in respiratory and sleep medicine through Eastern Health and Austin Health, obtaining fellowship of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2012.

Mr David James

Mr David James is a fully qualified Ear, Nose and Throat and Head and Neck Surgeon. He attended the University of Sydney Medical School. General surgical training followed at the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne, and Ear, Nose and Throat and Head and Neck surgical training completed at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, with Masters of Surgery by research in restoring and protecting hearing function when working with the Bionic Ear Institute and the University of Melbourne Department of Otolaryngology. 

David completed formal training advanced fellowship in Rhinology at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital specialising in functional rhinoplasty and advanced endoscopic sinus surgery and has attended advanced endoscopic skull base surgery workshops.

Dr Naomi Atkins graduated from Monash University in 2003 and completed her fellowship in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine in 2011, following advanced training at Peninsula Health and Austin Health.

Naomi holds public appointments at Austin Health (Heidelberg), predominantly within the Victorian Respiratory Support Service, and at Northern Health (Epping).
